I did the same thing with my banana bread, except I had no sugar. It's so so sad when you expect a loaf of warm banana-y goodness on your counter and there is none.

You tried it! Amazing!! Isn't she scary, but in the best of ways? Keep me posted on progress and results, although you're the buffest person I know (forrealsies) so there is little to be toned if anything.

You've seen my tiny apt. I have yet to do the 30 day shred in nyc. I also don't want to be the annoying girl on the 6th floor who's making noises with jumping jacks so we'll see what happens when I finally bust it out someday.

Just did laundry, which involved lugging a huge duffel bag + heavy large walmart thing of detergent down and up six flights of stairs. I miss the Circles. I miss college life. I miss you.

I know a lot of employers tend to ask question that involve giving them an example of a time where...you showed leadership, you overcame a job obstacle, or any situation that may be relevant to the job position.
Since I interviewed for sales and management-type jobs, they usually focused around my best sale, accomplishing goals, getting team members to perform, etc.
This gives a great oppotunity to tell stories about your experiences instead of job descriptions and daily tasks. It also gives them a chance to see through the generally puffed job titles and job descriptions and see what you're really about.

You are indeed correct that there are many "Kills" near Albany. (In fact, I've found there are even more down here in the Poughkeepsie area.) I always knew "kill" meant "stream" or "creek," but I had never bothered to find out why it was so widespread in New York until your post. So I looked it up. According to Wikipedia, "kill" is a Dutch term. So all the "Kills" near the Hudson are holdovers from our great state's Dutch beginnings.

Wikipedia also informed me that in the 90s PETA tried to get Fishkill, a town near Poughkeepsie, to change its name to "Fishsave." They were not successful.

I always make my resume in Word format, with all of my nice, pleasing-to-the-eye fonts and formatting. Then I make a duplicate resume that is a simple text document. Within Text, I can make rudimentary bullets or whatever, and at least make sure the spacing is right. That way, you always have an easy, painless way of doing the copy/paste dance.
